Remote Access
Savvy is browser based and written on the .NET platform. It was designed from the ground up to be an Internet solution. This means there is no client side software to install on your workstations. All you need is a browser and an Internet connection and you can use Savvy.
Savvy's unique advantage is that it comes in four flavors. Savvy ASP, Savvy DA, Savvy LAN and Savvy Elite. Savvy ASP is a standard ASP application service provider) model, where the software is on our server and you have to FTP your documents to us. Savvy DA is NOT an ASP. It is a distributed application solution. The software & MS SQL Server Database resides on our secure Savvy server, but the documents are stored on YOUR server at YOUR physical location. Savvy LAN fully installs the software & database on your servers and requires MS SQL Server 2000. Savvy Elite is a customizable version of Savvy that can be tailored to fit your needs.

Security
Savvy does not direct any public Internet traffic to your
internal server(s).
Access to Savvy is controlled by User ID/Password. As users login to Savvy, they are presented only with the folders and documents they are permitted to see. If they are not allowed access to certain documents, they will never even know they are there. Conversely, Savvy can also allow public Internet access to documents are not highly sensitive in nature.
Document delivery is secured through RSA public/private key and RC2. This method is used to secure the communication between the secure Savvy server and your internal servers for document delivery.
Savvy used MS SQL 2000 for all its storage needs. This database is secured through a separate user id/password. In addition, all user ids and passwords are kept in an encrypted state.

Ease of Use
Savvy doesn't change your document processes. You still create, save, store and backup your documents the same way you always have. In addition, Savvy keeps your documents in the native formats. There are no proprietary conversion processes that hold your documents hostage.
Savvy was built to be easy to use. The interface is easy to learn and easy to work with.
Savvy does not require a VPN but can work within the framework of an existing VPN. It also works with an existing firewall.
Savvy does not require any new hardware or software.
Savvy can be deployed in as little as two hours.
Savvy can be used with minimal end-user training.

Distributed Storage
Savvy DA allows you to keep the documents on your internal servers. Your documents stay in your office and never leave your network. Your file server, becomes a Savvy RDS (Remote Document Server). Savvy can have unlimited RDS', allowing you to tie in multiple locations to our document management system. One search in Savvy can then bring up all matching documents physically stored at any of your locations. |
